Honey Roasted Walnuts
Walnuts are simple way to keep the kidneys warm and energized during the cold winter months. Bake some in honey, store them in a glass jar, and eat one a day.
Here’s my go-to recipe:
INGREDIENTS
• 1 cup walnuts, whole or halved
• 1 heaped Tbsp honey
• ½ Tbsp coconut oil
• 1 tsp Himalayan sea salt
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 375 F
2. Add all ingredients to an ovenproof pan. Over medium heat, stir to coat the walnuts with the oil and honey as they soften.
3. Once the walnuts are evenly coated, cook for 7 – 10 minutes in the oven until lightly browned.
4. Sprinkle with extra salt and serve or store.
Enjoy!
